Day 1 - We pick you up from your accommodation and then head out to our cycle drop off point in the countryside surrounding Chiang Mai. We wind our way through small village roads and pass fruit farms, rice paddies, seasonal crops and waterways. It depends on the season but you may even get the chance to stop and help with planting or harvesting! After two hours we stop for a well earned lunch. Then we drive to our trek start point and we walk up to a local Karen village. Here you get a chance to interact with the people of the Karen hilltribe and learn about life in a genuine working village.
We also get a chance to go to a local waterfall near the village before we trek to our hillside bungalow accommodation, Spicy Villa Ecolodge where we spend a leisurely evening and your guide will teach you how to cook up a feast-Thai style!
Day 2 – Wake up to the fantastic view from your bungalow and after breakfast we go to the local school where you get a chance to give something back to the community. Try being a teacher! When we get back there is time to chill out in a hammock and watch life go by. Later in the afternoon we go to bathe with and ride the elephants and get an insight into being a mahout. In the late afternoon we go bamboo rafting before heading back to the city.
