Motorbike Adventure in Doi Inthanon National Park

This motorbike adventure is excellent for exploring Doi Inthanon National Park, either driving or as a passenger! We drive to the top of the highest mountain in Thailand, Doi Inthanon, and visit remote local minority villages that tourists rarely get to see. We spend time with locals, get to know their culture and explore the unspoiled nature on our way. Along the way we see many waterfalls, jungle views, traditional farms, and paddy fields. We also visit our community project, a children’s school in Inthanon National Park, and stay with the hill tribe families!

Day 1

We pick you up at your hotel and instruct you on driving safety. After the briefing the motorbike adventure begins! We drive an hour and a half south of Chiang Mai and stop at one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Thailand called Mae Ya waterfall. Here we can cool down, relax and enjoy the nature.

Afterwards we drive on a dirt road up a mountain and visit Karen and Hmong villages along the way. We make a stop at our community project, in one of the Karen villages. This is an area rarely visited by tourists, so you get a chance to see pristine lifestyles of local hill tribe minorities!

We then drive to the peak of Doi Inthanon National Park at 2565 m above sea level and enjoy the marvellous views. From the peak, we have a short drive to Queen and King Pagodas. Then we descend and drive on dirt road to the Royal Agricultural Project in Mae Klang Luang village. We get to know the villagers when we join them for a traditional dinner and sleep in their houses.

Day 2

After breakfast we take a walk around the village to experience the local way of life. Then our motorbike adventure continues; we say goodbye to the villagers and get on our motorbikes again and drive to another waterfall for a refreshment.

Next we visit Spicy Villa eco-lodges with an organic farm. We cook a lunch from natural and local ingredients here. You get some lessons in traditional northern Thai cooking!
